Most of the year we reside near Port Townsend, WA, where the Juan de Fuca Strait connects with Puget Sound. It’s lovely and peaceful, and we grow vegetables and all sorts of berries.
This year we’ve decided to spend winter in chaos Central near Hollywood Blvd. soaking up rare Winter sunshine and meeting with old friends and industry folk. We’re walking Hollywood Blvd and Vine St. viewing the cruddy Walk of the Star featuring such forgotten figures as Stepin Fetchit.
On Saturday Feb 15 between 7 and 10 we’re hosting a Lupercalia / Yé-Yé Girl party at Los Feliz’s great Wacko/Soap Plant/La Luz de Jesus store/gallery on Hollywood Blvd. Should be great fun.
Since we’re in Hollywood we’ve signed an option agreement for a Sundance Channel television series based on the Feral House book, Sex and Rockets, about the occult rocket scientist Jack Parsons.
We’re excited to learn that some remarkable actors are signing on to perform in a crazy conspiratorial script I wrote with Ryan Page called Dallas in Wonderland. We’ll let you know who’s involved just as soon as it all becomes “official.”
And we’re happy to report that a couple Feral House books are now going to the printer, including David Cole’s Republican Party Animal: The ‘Bad Boy of Holocaust History’ Blows the Lid Off Hollywood’s Secret Right-Wing Underground in addition to Phil Stanford’s paperback edition of White House Call Girl: The Real Watergate Story, with additional material unseen in the ebook version released late last year.
We look forward to getting up to Port Townsend in a couple months. But first there’s some business down here to take care of.
