Does Feral House publish as the result of an author or agent query?
Rarely.
We publish nonfiction. We do not publish fiction of any type.
Please do not ask us to read novels, short stories, plays, screenplays, or poetry.
If a personal obsession has caused you to investigate a fascinating piece of history or cultural phenomenon, or if you are an artist or photographer interested in unusual subject matter, we’d be interested to hear about it. Email a profile of your project, its intended audience, a table of contents, and a sample chapter to info@feralhouse.com in a PDF.
If we find your proposal intriguing, we will get back to you.
We dislike memoirs.
Unless…you’re a Zelig who has first-hand experience of historical events and lived to tell the tale. We are never interested in therapy journals, personal journeys, or any other type of manuscript about your struggles.
